Patrice Porter – Nurturing Childhood through Gardening

Hello, and welcome to another episode of our podcast, where we explore topics that matter and make a difference in people’s lives. Today, I am thrilled to have a very special guest with me, someone who has dedicated her life to nurturing childhood through gardening. Meet Patrice Porter, lovingly referred to as the Gardening Grandma.

Patrice is not only a mother and grandmother but also an avid gardener and a Certified Educational Associate. She recently retired after 15 years of working with young children in the “Play and Exploration” program, something she absolutely loved. However, her passion for gardening and working with kids didn’t stop there. Patrice continues to work with children through her “Got Dirt? Gardening For Kids” program and the Fabulous Family Futures program.

With a wealth of knowledge gathered through many years of researching and training with master gardeners, Patrice has become a sought-after gardening consultant who loves opening the world of gardening to folks, especially to kids. She believes that gardening can teach children valuable life lessons and skills, such as patience, responsibility, and respect for nature.

Patrice loves the medium of books for sharing knowledge and expertise and is the author of the book series “Bringing Out the Potential of Children” and co-author of the #1 Best Seller book “No-Problem Parenting; Raising Your Kiddos with More Confidence and Less Fear.” Her experience and expertise are truly inspiring, and I can’t wait to hear more about her journey and the importance of nurturing childhood through gardening.

Join us in this episode as we dive deep into the world of gardening, the benefits it offers to children, and how you can get your kids involved. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or just someone who loves to learn, this is an episode you don’t want to miss. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!
